One
main expansion from the Government
white paper is that plans have
been put in place for a second
runway at Birmingham International
Airport.
Air and noise pollution
is therefore a concern for the
local Birmingham community. The
proposed airport expansion will
come alongside some improved operations
and landscaping to diminish the
effects, and the environmental concerns
will also be considered carefully.
The airport expansion however
will also create more jobs in the area, act
as a hub for frequent flyers and
also improve Birmingham’s
tourism trade, and so could have
a positive effect on the local
house prices.
